Dr. Jane

Dr Jane Edwards MBBS, FRACGP, BMEd Sci, Dip. Rural Med, MPH & TM. is the staff doctor for the Haven Foundation in Thailand.  Dr Jane graduated from the University of Tasmania, Australia.  She completed her post graduate training in Family medicine in Tasmania and the Northern Territory.  She has also competed her Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University.  She has a huge heart for the people of Southeast Asia and has committed her life to serving them.

Medical Programs under the Haven Project and Dr. Jane include:

• Medical team outreaches to rural villages and refugee camps
• Feeding and dietary programs for children
• Teaching health fundamentals including a basic health and hygiene course for children’s home workers
• Reviewing children’s homes for safety
• Regular check ups for all children under the Haven Foundation
• dr@coc  is a resource for people who do not have access to an international standard of medical care where they can ask questions and get advice
• Medical check ups and referrals for women and young girls involved in prostitution
